FAQ
How do you grow your plants?
Our commitment to excellence begins with our in-house cultivation process. By meticulously tending to each plant ourselves, we maintain complete quality control, ensuring only the finest specimens are offered for sale. Our rigorous standards dictate that any plant not meeting our top-quality criteria is not made available to our customers. The majority of our plants are cultivated in an emersed state, further enhancing their vitality and robustness. This dedication to superior cultivation practices underscores our unwavering commitment to providing you with the highest quality of aquatic plants in New Zealand.
Why is it called Freshly Aqua Plant?
Our name, Freshly Aqua Plant, reflects our commitment to delivering the freshest aquatic plants straight to your doorstep. Each time you place an order, our team hand-picks your plants, ensuring they're at their top-quality before they embark on their journey to your aquarium. Originally pondering "Freshly Picked Aquarium Plants," we opted for the sleek simplicity of "Freshly Aqua Plant" – a name that encapsulates our dedication to freshness in every stem and leaf.
Do we convert emersed plants before shipping?
We want to ensure transparency about our plant handling process. Usually, we don't convert plants before shipping. When moving plants from one tank to another, adaptation is inevitable, whether they were grown submerged or emerged. Starting with healthy plants is key, which is why quality is paramount to us. Rest assured, all our plant species can be easily transitioned from emersed to submerged with proper tank conditions.
Are your plants snail free?
At Freshly Aqua Plant our plants are strictly grown in our own indoor facility, in highly controlled small batches. Our plants undergo rigorous quarantine to ensure they're snail-free. We are 100% confident that our plants are free of snails. We guarantee our plants to be free of snails subject to our refund policy! You can review our refund policy by clicking here.
My plant melted what should I do?
It's important to understand that when plants are relocated to different environmental conditions, it's natural for them to undergo a degree of melting. This is a typical response as the plant adjusts to its new surroundings. During this adaptation period, older leaves may wither and be substituted by new foliage tailored to the plant's new habitat. This process is indicative of healthy acclimatisation.
